I have made a lot of black and white drawings throughout my career. The absence of color transmits a simplicity that allow you to focus on the shapes and their interaction with light and shadow while enjoying a crosshatching technique. While working for the publishing industry it's been very gratifying to be part of projects that include interior B&W art. This is also a way to further explore the characters, situations an settings I usually paint in the covers. Here are some commissioned samples plus some personal pieces. They are pencil drawings with some digital shades of gray and textures added in Photoshop.
