After one year and something surrounded by YES’s, I took some time to change my office's wall chalk work. I wanted however to keep the positive vibe of the previous work. Then I thought about Nina Simone's most iconic song. I was mildly injured after having fallen off the stepladder on the first day of work. Nonetheless, from sketching to cleaning up the mess, it took me 36 hours to finish. I've added a soft blur to the surroundings of each saying only in order to direct the viewer’s eye to the focal point, and that is the only digital interference to the images. Enjoy! . Read Less

I thought of adding all the subjects mentioned in the song, but it would be way too much (and how would I fit fish in the sea?). So I decided to stick to only a few.
 
You may have noticed the sunbeams, the pine trees (on the horizon),
and the birds next to each verse…
