About

This coffee table was designed as a school assignment for Bernkop Company, traditional Czech producer of bentwood furniture.
Published:
The inspiration for this coffee table was tablecloth as immortal and indispensable element in the history of dining. Tablecloth also sort of refers to the tradition and craftsmanship, that also characterize the Bernkop Company for which this assignment was intended.

Tablecloth elements are reflected in both, shaping legs and milled patterns on the table top. But the functions of each part are completely different, deliberately reversed.
Elements of the pattern are derived from the shapes of seats and chair backrests, which were produced by the company in history.
