Designed by Los Angeles furniture designer, Kyle Heffernan, the Bedrock Bench merges an iconic wooden slatted surface with a rough, three hundred pound organic granite boulder. The man made structure of the bench becomes reliant on the heavy boulder to become functional. The cantilevered design element speaks to the natural strength that organic, unaltered forms can provide to man made pieces. Each bench is unique dependent upon the size and shape of the boulder used. The size of the bench can be customized to meet the client’s specifications.
