Who are you? Who am I? Is anyone truly original? The thing is, as a designer, I can handle when a person borrows influential factors from other people or situation. As designers, we borrow all day, every day. It is what keeps us in touch with what is new and exciting. We borrow influences from music, fashion trends, different cultures, etc. A person, living his/her life, influenced by their surrounding I can bear, as long as these different factors within life shapes them into the people that they are proud to want to be. The thing that really pisses me off are posers, people that hide behind a mask, pretending to be someone or something that they are not. By putting up a mask of insecurity and resentment, you are in deniel. You are refusing yourself the freedom to love and honour other people and have them truely respect you for who you are.
