Made only of paper. Sewn.
Published:
My newest project is inspired by legendary choreographer, George Balanchine. He created a little ballet called the Nutcracker, as well as Swan Lake. His body of work defines what ballet is today. New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater are all his own.  Growing up as a dancer, I therefore grew up knowing of Balanchine. So, I give to you a sneak peek at my project. It is a work in progress and I will keep posting the step by step creation. Very excited about this! It is made only of different papers and spots of glue. The tutu is an accurate recreation of Karinska's. She designed the majority of Balanchine's costumes and introduced the "powderpuff tutu," aka the Balanchine-Karinska tutu.

UPDATE:
I created a collection of paper sculptures that were recently featured in Musee Maison's Art Fusion show! Several pieces were sold. Email for commissions.
