Around 3x3k supernatural planet illustration I've made for 9 page tutorial for first issue of DigitalDesign Magazine (ex-.PSDmag). I wanted to try something new, with more unusual color palette of my artworks. First intentions were to create some dramatic shot of planet falling apart, but during production I changed my mind and incorporated atomic structure pattern, alien cities structures and so on. Ive started with 3d blocking, basic lighting and render of planets, than I continued with compositing, retouching and heavy postproduction in Photoshop.
This artwork was also featured as Pick of the Week at 3DArtistonline.com and 46th issue of 3D ARTIST MAGAZINE (Reader´s Gallery)
