Anti-War Campaign The aim for this project was to communicate a message of anti-war in the form of an experimental typography poster. I set out to do this by focusing on the topic of the Iraq veteran suicide cover up by the pentagon and how the real number for 2005 among 45 states was one of shock and disgust for the people of America and how their government had failed them in the prevention of such a epidemic. The statistic of ‘120 veteran suicides every week in one year’ was the shock strategy i wanted for this poster and to use it in an interesting and commutative way. I feel with the visual use of lead drawn lettering being rubbed out expresses how the veterans felt isolated and invisible in the society that they left to fight for. Read Less
