Using a program called Audacity and the typeface Arial as a foundation, I distorted image files through a process called databending. I uploaded the image file to the software, which in turn produced its own sound wave, unique to the letter. When you type a letter into the Audatype website, you see a distortion of the letter, along with its respective song. You can pause the images to view still frames. The results are abstract letterforms, and the alphabet combinations are infinite. Read Less
