The Art Directors Club of Germany (ADC) Association presents the 48th Time the award-winning and creative communication ideas from the fields of traditional media, digital media, dialogue marketing / promotion / media, design, editorial, production Spatial, Craft and Integrated Communications.
The ADC Yearbook 2012 was, according to specification of the design concept which was developed by Magma Brand Design (Karlsruhe), implemented in the shortest possible time.
The implementation of the data, retrieved from a database and via the detour of Microsoft Excel imported into Adobe Indesign was the first challenge. This abandonment was realized by creating a script that allowed the transfer of data in Adobe Indesign.
Our mission was to design the layout of the 560 pages including the text notes and the extensive index at the end of the book. In detail our work was the image selection for each project, the complete set of all project and text pages, the correction stages, the extraction of the register and the outputting of finished files for the reproduction in close collaboration with the publisher.
The project is due to the limited timeframe of almost 8 weeks very intense and all phases of production are closely interlocked, which was to be implemented only by the very good cooperation with the publisher and the repro.
