This 20" x 30" painting was recently completed for an Asymbol group show. The title of the show was "Another Sunrise in Outer Space"and was inspired by the year at hand. The end of 2012 can evoke apocalyptic visions of the end of humanity, but I chose to go with a more optimistic composition of dawn over an ocean of clouds. This piece was inspired by one memorable Thanksgiving morning sunrise, from the top of a local peak. The terrain is wholly volcanic, and makes for an otherworldly landscape above tree line.
