Discovery Channel’s popular broadcast ‘Animal Planet’ receives an Australian release,
and with it comes a new brand identity to introduce it to the Australian public.
The logo symbol, organic in it’s hand-rendered brushstrokes, reflects the wild character
of the natural animal world. It aims to convey the idea of the wilderness
leaping out of your television, straight into your living room.
Primarily aimed at the target audience of boys aged 8 to 12, the logo appeals
to their inner animal whilst still welcoming the older viewer.
