An Obsession with the Elements

  • I should preface this project by saying that all work was done on aportfolio-building basis.  I was in no way contracted or employed byany brands seen below.

    The motivation behind these pictures is fairly straight-forward.  Ilove the challenges associated with portraying something as static asyour run-of-the-mill consumer product, as something more dynamic; as ifthe product itself is living and breathing. I think it is rather clearfrom this set that I like to incorporate elemental features into thecomposition. Fire, water, smoke; they are all fair game in my book. 

    I have also found that people seem to appreciate your work more when they get to see first-hand what it took to achieve the final image.  I have included many behind the scenes shots and image build-ups of the images below in my blog, which can be found here
