'DJ Twist' was looking for album cover art for his mix release 'Sold Out'. This was Twist's first mix release using CD mixing decks as opposed to traditional records. This is the namesake of the album. So my design reflected that by fusing an image of a CDJ with phantom components from a traditional record player.
The models for the CDJ and hand were downloaded from the web. Those models were then modified and positioned in the scene. The final rendering was done in Mental Ray. Layout and post effects in Photoshop.
Inside jacket art. CDJ dog tags. Compositing in Photoshop.
After the album art was completed, I was asked to develop Twist's logo. I started with an initial sketch. Then modeled in 3ds max. Rendered in Vray. Post effects in Photoshop.
