Our theme deals with "Kwentong Barbero", stories that are not true or/and are exaggerated.
If you live in the Philippines, most likely you are familiar with "wala ka sa tatay / lolo ko" jokes. Roughly translates to, "my dad / grandfather is better than yours" or at least that's the whole point of the joke. These stories are false and exaggerated. I remember when I was a kid, there are instances wherein my classmates and I would take these jokes / stories too seriously. I'm not sure if some of my classmates considered these tall tales as truth, I hope not. What if our dads, granddads, or even the great granddads found out those crazy stories my friends and I talked about?
