In the last decade, 8 billion dollars of which was spent on food imports from countries like China, India, Chile Costa Rica, Mexico, and Brazil. By utilizing unused shipping containers and retrofitting them with an aeroponic system, a farm can be created in any environment. Because the system is modular, it can be used in many different orientations. A family in the country can sustain their food intake by purchasing a container and having it delivered to their home, or the Agro Units can be stacked to form a complex more suitable for an urban environment. The containers can also be pre packaged and shipped to a disaster area for humanitarian relief. Read Less
