ALU® — Modular Merchandising Systems is an international company with more than 25 years of experience in the retail world. With a portfolio of standard, customized and fully custom products, this brand offer end-to-end services, including design engineering, manufacture, project management and execution of comprehensive retail environments. They asked us to redesign their Company Profile for EuroShop 2011 where were presented their brand new products. We started from the basic concept of entire ALU production, the essential and functional design. All their products are mainly made in basic materials like aluminum. We then took inspiration from the material soul of these elements to develop ALU’s id. Starting from this basis, we chose to tell the brand through a series of keywords explaining their values. All illustrations and typography elements have been made cutting paper and assembling back all the tiny pieces so to produce several artworks. Products pages, by the other hand, are spread pages containing photos, original sketches, real products arranged as big moodboards. A red thread connects identity and products through the entire project. Read Less
