This project demonstrates team working skills as it was completed in conjunction with my class colleagues (Andrew O'Shaughnessy, Dean Phelan & Sophie Crull). The project brief asked us to design a clothes receptacle that had legs extending from the base. We believe that as our proposed design consists of only two components, it is both a highly manufacturable and cost effective product. We were also proud that the finished product considered all the ergonomic issues identified with existing laundry receptacles in intended usage modes. This includes carrying, lifting movements and the handle designs. Read Less
