The design sports stylized portraits of pastoral figures: a “mantila” clad elderly woman with spectacles and a mustached, white eye-browed elder man wearing a worker’s “traiasca” hat, complete with a four-hole button, against a pure white background with “olive-oil” gold rims.
The characters are introduced as a subtle reference to the rural roots of the products and as archetypical symbols of the tradition, knowledge and family values. The characters appear smiling or even compliant in “giving their blessing” to the consumer for making a splendid choice.
Black and Gold are the sole colors against the white’s clarity that make a direct connection to both olive oil,
the flagship product of the family, and the praised light of Greece from which the products originate.
