A Thread in the Dark produced by Lost Tribe Theatre Company, directed by Heather Ondersma
This show opened on September 10, 2001 on the Yankee Ferry, Pier 25, New York, NY.

If events had been different it would have been one of the most magical projects I had ever worked on. As it was, it was definitely the most memorable. Directed by Heather Ondersma, the play is the story of Ariadne of Naxos. The audience moved around the antique ferry from setting to setting. The World Trade Center and lower Manhatten were the back-drop and represented Crete. The junky area near the dock was the island of  Naxos where Ariadne is abandoned at the end of the play. According to Playbill we re-opened on September 17th. (I really don't remember it being that soon.) Obviously, the site now endowed the play with much different meanings.
I think these photos are from a rehearsal before we re-opened.

This photo is taken from the ferry facing south. The World Trade Center should be in the background, 6 blocks away.
