No more Junk!

This project was done on the fly! I was contacted by the client on Monday evening. The client is a new homemade catering service and they wanted to have their image ready by Wednesday night in order to promote their services in a local bazaar. The name of the company is NO MORE JUNK, and it represents their idea of homemade catering, which includes good quality products, organic food and the tendency to avoid fast junk food.

The client like the idea, but didn't quite like the minimal style. So, I tampered a little with this design. She asked to make it more friendly, so I tried turning it into a face, and after that into a leaf - depicting the green elements used in cooking, the organic food and the healthy products. She also wanted me to change the way the "face" would "speak", so I ended up using a speech balloon, as seen in figure 3.
She decided to go with the leaf design and requested to see an alternate balloon, one that would look more drastic and strong, and I came up with figure 4 (right).

So, finally that was it. After a few hours, she was ok with the design (although I still believe that the logo in figure 2 was a better choice). We had to wrap it up. I added the "homemade catering" explanatory text in the logo and thought a bit on the color. It had to be a green palette, but instead of using black or color for the type I decided to balance the visual effect of the green leaf with the greyish type. There you have it (figure 5).

The Flyers
So with the logo in my hands, I had to design the promo flyers. I asked for a list with the goods the client would sell in the bazaar and made a quick sketch of each one. The original idea was to include the ingredients of each one, but the client didn't manage to find time to do that, so I just left a lot of white space, leting each item stand out. Digitaly printed, in Corolla White 300gr paper, sized 48mmx160mm each, the flyers made a really good impression in the Bazaar. By Tuesday night the whole project was finished. I also designed a poster in order to enhance the presence of the client in the bazaar.
