The first part of this 2-day challenge was to design a mobile experience that contains scrollable galleries of cards (Adobe XD 30 now features horizontal and vertical scrolling tools!); I dabbled with horizontal scrolling to display a variety of items for a store that sells ice cream, treats, and drinks. The second part consisted of building in a pannable map experience where the user can find store locations throughout the city. For this project, I sampled and played with colors of the ice cream flavors shown in the hero image.

Myriad Pro was a nice and simple font choice given its high degree of customization. I found that a dark shade of brown with varying shades of pistachio made for a simple, sensible, and attractive user interface. I applied a dark shade of brown with light pistachio yellow to the tab bar so that it stands out from the rest of page. I then opted for a similar shade to be used as the main backdrop for the screen, and employed pistachio green for calls to action, since that color stands out from the other colors.
