Brutal minimalism

This two-story flat with a terrace is located in a calm and peaceful area of Saint Petersburg. Its lucky owner is a brutal and ambitious young man.

The choice of minimalism was obvious and we immediately started working with the project.A brutal monochrome color palette of shades of grey and reflects the owner’s character in the best way.

The initial layout of the apartment was not changed much because of architectural features of the house. Indeed, we managed to organize two bathrooms and three storage rooms besides the main three rooms and a terrace on the second floor.
Having such a monochrome palette an interior is full of details. This effect we achieved by mixing many different textures and thoroughly thought lighting scenarios in the interior design.

Related space of living room and a kitchen is decorated with granite slabs, decorative plaster and ceramic panels. It’s worth to mention the lighting system by “Flos” which is used for living room and kitchen areas. To leave open space we separated a stairs area with an interesting glass showcase with greenery inside. In the core of living rooms’ composition is “Budapest” sofa by “Baxter”.

While choosing the kitchen finishes we gave our preference to the combination of the stylish steel facades with ceramics. An asymmetric composition of the kitchen modules give the space a spicy look. The dining area with the chairs by “Roche Bobois” is about to be used at friends parties as well as with cozy family dinners.

The theme of a rough stone continues in the Master bedroom interior as well. Masters’ block includes a bathroom, closet and the laundry room as well. The bathroom interiors are decorated with ceramic panels. Suspension light emphasizes the geometry of the space.

For beloved guests we organized a comfortable quest room with its own walk-in-closet. The interior is decorated by decorative plaster with different textures imitating ceramic milled panels.

The second floor was decided to use as a lounge area. You can enjoy the view sitting on the bar counter and watch a movie with friends on the rest area. We used concrete texture to decorate the walls and granite slabs.
