Wardrobe Change is a short collection of utopian dress ups, where everything we see in the mirror reflects joy and no anxiety whatsoever!
In-between jobs, I was doing design and animation-exercises in Cinema 4D and Marvelous Designer. Seeing them together made me want to put them together in a short story.
The sequence was fully brought to life with the help of Luke at The Soundery with a wonderful tune and adorable sound design.
Navigating through the C4D > Marvelous > C4D-workflow comes with some entertaining results along the process. Above you can see the different states of getting a fully naked character in some clothes!
1. First off, we animate a naked version of our character.
2. After that, we bake the character and import that alembic to Marvelous Designer and design our clothes around that. Marvelous makes the simulation extremely acessible with very few technical hindrances.
3. Once we're happy with a simulation, we import it back into Cinema and apply textures and lights.
4. And finally, we get our result. An animated character with moving clothes.
