Fall 2020 Energize for Brooks Running

This was my first major project when I rejoined Brooks Running over 2 years ago. I was tasked with redesigning the Energize line of running shoes, namely the Levitate, Bedlam and Revel.
Each shoe utilizes a flat knit upper, and while the Revel uses a full EVA (foam) midsole, both the Levitate and Bedlam use the new and improved DNA AMP compound (lighter, more energy return PU)
This project consisted of rebuilding the line from the ground up both aesthetically and functionally. A new footwear last (the form used to shape the shoe) was created for the Levitate and Bedlam to better conform the flat knit to the foot and everything was redesigned from better traction, to better fit, to better ease of entry into the shoe.
Big thanks to everyone involved both here in Seattle and in China and Vietnam.
This was truly a group effort, often we forget or don't realize that from start to finish about 200-300 people have had their hands on your shoes over the course of the design to market process of 1-2 years... it's a complex process, but I love it.
