POP! - Revisiting Jataka Tales

A visit to the local ‘Crossword’ gave me insight on how much children love reading and interacting with pop up books. It is a device that helps make story-telling more fun for the child and the parent. But all the pop up books that I have come across are western, story-wise and in rendering style.
For this project, I proposed to create a set of pop up books, proudly Indian, stories and illustrations.

WORK PLAN – Creating characters, illustrating and creating pop up books in a style loosely inspired by Indian Murals, textiles, and Folk Art.
