FlameFace screen print

Two colour, limited edition, screen print for fundraising exhibition to raise money for solar panels for Abbotsford Convent Melbourne.
The original sketch was just a doodle of 'flames'... but then an eye, or a nose, or a cheek appeared and it ended up as this little character, like Calcifer from Howl's Moving castle.
Getting an invitation to contribute to the fundraising exhibition was a great excuse to turn the image into a screen print. Above are a couple of ambitious attempts to recreate the image as vector and include a spot gold.
In the end a simple 2 colour job did the trick. The yellow is really rich and the black is deep and velvety. Thanks to Chris and Megan at DangerFork screen printers for the great finish. It's currently on sale here.
