Whirlwind Sideboard
The task was to design a furniture piece that made our high-quality veneers the highlight of the piece. American walnut creates a beautiful illusion when the light hits the grain from different directions. The patterns on the door faces make a three dimensional effect.
50 Years Backdrop
The backdrop above my sideboard was also a collaboration I worked on. The theme of backdrop uses the same effect applied on the Whirlwind, but in this case we used all the veneers that are in the Designs Ligna catalog: Oak, Ash, Walnut.
