The site was located in Sitio Subic a small community in Barangay Balele province of Tanauan City Batangas Philippines. The house will be built in a lot size of 25 square meters. It was narrow and small for a four members of a family. This site was a part of the lot of the parents of the head of the family and will be located adjacent to the existing house of his parents. The family was consists of a couple and two sons. The house will be built with a low budget costing. Since the site was too small for a four dwellers. The design of the house will be planned vertically.
The Ground Floor will serve as the living space of the dwellers which consists of living, kitchen, toilet and bath.
The First Floor will serve as the master bedroom and a walk-in closet.
And there will be an Attic Floor that will serve as bedroom of their children.
Since it is too expensive to build a multiple floors in the country. To reduce the cost of the construction and to be more efficient. The base of the house will be made of concrete finished. The firewall, column and beams are all in concrete. Galvanized iron metal roofing will serve as the exterior walls in the First Floor to Attic Floor. The Philippines is a tropical country, this wall will have a foam insulation to ease the heat from the exterior walls. Since wood is expensive locally, the use of galvanized iron channel will serve as substitute in wall framing and also the roof trusses of the structure. Gypsum board will be used in the interior walls in the upper floors and the ceilings since it is low cost, fire resistant, and sound attenuation.
