Beatnik
This included exploring competitor companies in order to identify areas where the company could improve upon. 
The overall objectives were to create a unique shopping experience for customers that set us apart from the others in the market. This included constructing an emotional bond with the customers and offering products and an environment that were distinct from his/her other shopping experiences. It would be this bond that would compel customers to this particular shopping experience. Through this process, the challenge was to balance the distinct experience the customers were to engage in and yet not limit the company’s products to one specific genre.  The goal was to capture of the attitude and styles of the customers in the design of the company’s products. The name “Beatnik” was fitting for this design because it brings with it a connotation of one who rejects what is conventional in all areas of life and in this case, in their shopping experience. It also allowed room for a broad range of products for which the company would sell.  Along with the Beatnik concept, multiple logos were created that could be used interchangeably.
