NASA Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Poster + Postcard Set Branding Design
In the month of July, 2019, NASA celebrated the historic 50 year anniversary of the Apollo lunar landing on July 20, 1969, which paved the way for future space exploration and countless discoveries of aeronautic engineering and many other technologies used today.
In celebration of this occasion, I was tasked with creating a commemorative poster + postcard series that would capture and highlight specific contributions made by NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) in Hampton, VA. All images and incorporated into the design are framed to capture moments in time with classic fonts and textured treatments to highlight the time period while giving the layout a modern twist. Lines and diagrams in the background of the design mark the lunar module path around the moon.
The Apollo missions will forever symbolize great achievements in science and technology and will always remind us that anything is possible when we reach for the stars.
