Data Architecture is not for easy talk. How does "Data A" get to become cleaned and enriched from various sources and become "ABC"? My task was to explain the backstage of data processing in a fun and abstract way.
The Process Behind
To work on this project I needed to create an abstraction in my head. To do this, I made a research for a basic understanding of data architecture. Below you can see pages of my mind flow. I wanted to represent three tools:
• Data Integration Platform;
• Data Analysis Platform;
• Data Event Platform.
Data Integration platform
The journey starts from the collection of random information, likes, sales, activity. Integration platform is taking care of first steps and "packaging" data, or "translating" it into something more understandable for us.
Data Event platform
This machine of the factory is validating, sorting and summarizing the information. Hence bigger boxes. It also takes care of immediate automation, like sending birthday congrats!
Data Analysis platform
Analysis platform stands for advanced analytics, dashboards and discovering useful info. In my imagination it consists of a magnifying ball to inspect the data inside, and lasers to cut and rearrange info for a dashboard.
