The Graphic video is based on the music of an extraordinary Soviet underground band Stuk Bambuka v 11 chasov - La Cheval De Ma Vie. The music of this group is an atypical phenomenon for that time. Experimental electronic music with a strange surreal mood, was recorded in the late 80's in completely ascetic conditions. It can be said, that the songs were created from improvised materials.
My choice of technic and visual language of the video reflects the special features of this track. In my work, I used oil paints — the most "analog" material, extremely rare for motion design. The band's interest in music experiments inspired me for my own creative research for graphic interpretation of music.
