One afternoon in Darling

It was a Saturday afternoon and the road was calling, so I took a road trip to Darling, a sleepy town in the Western Cape, South Africa. All photos were taken on a Canon 6D fitted with a Canon 50mm F1.4 lens.
The Way Out.
The Way In.

Evita Se Perron. Probably the most famous landmark in Darling.

Locals like find the out-of-towners quite amusing...

The museum at Evita se Perron is loaded with South African history.
Some propaganda from the Old South Africa
In the back yard aka "Boerrassic Park" you'll find lots of satorical statues.

Have a drink in the Gravy Train Saloon
Evita still performs in the theatre.
This is Darling on a Saturday afternoon.
Just when you thought the town has nothing more to offer it hits you with some of the best beer at the Darling Brewery.
Beer tasting and wasabi nuts.
There's more than enough to go around.
The surrounding farms. Green.
This guy had time to strike a pose as another storm came rolling in.
