ECIS 2022
ECIS (European Conference on Information Systems) will finally take place in Timișoara, my one and only hometown, the informal capital of the western region of Romania. A city known for its revolutionary actions in 1989, but also for being the first European city to be lit by electric street lamps in 1884.
The logo reveals the city’s historical values by presenting, in a stylized manner, probably one of the most antique street lamps that ever existed in Timișoara. And of course, thanks to its vibrant and optimistic design, its intercultural, multi-religious and entrepreneurial attributes are also being portrayed.
