WATERCOLOR ILLUSTRATIONS by Kathrynne Yu
These are some of my personal watercolor projects that I created in my spare time in order to further my knowledge on the medium and constantly find ways I can improve. I take great inspiration for my works from nature, places, and people.

THE HARBOR. I have always been enamored by sunsets, and I always thought that they looked the loveliest by the harbor.
--
--
PEACE. These pieces were inspired by some photos I came across online -- these said photos evoked such deep feelings of peace within me that I decided to use it as references for these watercolor illustrations.
--
--
DREAM. These pieces were inspired by Studio Ghibli film stills.
--
--
PRETTY LADY. I decided to create this piece as I wanted to improve my techniques on creating watercolor portraits.

VIBRANT. The piece to the left was inspired by a photo I came across online- the colors of the scene were too striking and appealing to ignore, and I knew I had to paint it. The piece to the right is my fan art for the vibrant and unique character Yi-Seo from the drama Itaewon Class.
--
--
BIRDS. I have always found birds to be such majestic beings, thus I created this piece as a sort of homage to them.
--
--
MOUNTAINSCAPES. These pieces were inspired by my trip to Iceland a few summers back, as I had never seen such breathtaking views 'til then.
