Elmer's Color Glue

The objective was to create packaging for an existing brand with the focus on sculpting a form reflective of that product.
I wanted to design something fun, and being a child of the '80's, I was inspired by a former product by Elmer's® glue. Kids could paint with neon-colored glue and it would dry on a surface from it's beveled liquid form. My original packaging concept would be a great way for Elmer's® to revive this product.

I sketched out concepts and measured to the scale of a medium-sized Elmer's Glue® bottle. I designed and executed the final mockup by hand sculpting and shaping green sign foam material with my Dremel tool. Then I primed and sanded until smooth. It was a very involved process but I enjoyed seeing the final result come to life.
