Re-Marking the Boston Marathon
For five years, the City of Boston worked with the families of those lost in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings to meaningfully remember what happened that day. This video details the delicate process it was for the families and city to work with the sculptor, glass artists, construction managers, mayor and priest, who served as the liaison to the victims' families. Together they created markers at each of the two bombing sites to mark what took place and what was lost. The families were involved from the very beginning all the way to the lighting ceremony, where they all saw the completed marker sites together for the first time.
