I have a pressingdesire to create something out of "nothing". By nothing I mean theintangible, the elusive and the ephemeral characteristics of language and theevery-day. The work dismembers the puzzling bonds that transpire when peopleconnect or when the unexpected happens. These bonds are distilled into poeticnarratives.

Writing, sewing, construction, action and material relationships are foundations for my work.
I often juxtapose masculine and feminine notions which may create further tension or
behave in complimentary ways.
The object, project or installationis the “first impression”. From there, others are invited to get to know thework better over time – not much different than a relationship, really. Generosity ofinterpretation is laid bare for any viewer when I leave the work and then newconversations can begin.
