The Retelling of Franz Kafka's "The Trial"
Our brief for this year “Eyes Wide Shut” was about investigating architecture in Prague through an intuitive lens. Having lived in different cultures, I always found that reading work by native writers gave a unique insight into the culture that one would have otherwise projected their own bias onto.
The project attempted to make sense of the obscured spaces. Chapters of the book were reorganised in the drawing to make spatial sense in a fictional world where the bureaucratic process confused it.
