The assignment was to create awareness for the background and working conditions in the global garment industry. I decided to concentrate on the fact that workers in countries like Bangladesh and India are paid very low wages for clothes we buy at stores like H&M and Primark. This leaflet might look like a regular leaflet from H&M or Primark, but appearances can be deceiving. I used a second layer to show that the dress shown on the front is made by a worker who earns not more than 34 cents an hour.
Please note, this is a student project and in no way affiliated with H&M and Primark. H&M and Primark actually do well in improving the working conditions in garment factories. Also, none of the photographs shown on the leaflets are mine.
