Playstation 5
Redesign project
Last week Sony presented the new Playstation 5 and it's ... a disaster. The design of the PS5 is wrong in almost all aspects, for this reason I decided to make my own version of the console. However, I didn't want to reinvent and start from scratch, I wanted to use some of Sony's ideas improving them, not knowing the internal components, their arrangement and their engineering.
My version of PS5 has the same dimensions as the real one.
I used the idea of the external CD player trying to enhance it more. I changed the materials: I replaced the glossy black with the opaque black; The colors: from black I switched to anthracite; textures: I used the gamepad logos to give the console more character.
In short, I rebuilt the design keeping the guidelines that Sony has used for their product, without reinventing, but improving it.
