Part I Year 3 Technology Report. Part I focused on the building research of our assigned building. The first stage of our technology orientated research module, we were assigned a specific case study and was required to undergo a detailed analysis of the buildings composition.
The required output was a two-page document which outlined the results from our research. My assigned case study was Terminal 4 of the Madrid-Barajas Airport. My approach to the task was to first diagrammatically dismantle the building in order to gauge a full understanding of how the structure and components were assembled. I could then delve deeper into the environmental strategies and materiality of the structures. Below is a selection of the works I composed for this project.
