As part of my third year infographics class, we were asked to develop a series of Pictograms for the (imaginary) upcoming Melbourne
Olympics.
The idea was to develop between 3-5 icons representing different Olympic sports, and thus, design a system which could be further applied across the entire selection of sports.
My overall system was based of a circular grid. I chose this style to ensure that the icons showed a lot of movement, and were also unique and dynamic in their appearance.
