Nesta série fotográfica eu pretendo descobrir uma perspectiva abstrata da construção das penas. Ao serem observadas através do ponto de vista macro é possível admirar a beleza e complexidade destas estruturas, que possuem a função principal de possibilitar o voo das aves mas que também atuam como isolante térmico, promovem a impermeabilização e ainda servem como uma camada de proteção.
É esta disposição de listras impecavelmente paralelas, bem definidas e simetricamente perfeitas que, em conjunto com os padrões e cores dos filamentos singulares, revelam um desenho orgânico, tão agradável quando apreciados através desta perspectiva macro.

In this photographic series I intend to discover an abstract perspective on the construction of feathers. When observed from a macro viewpoint, it is possible to admire the beauty and complexity of these structures that have the main function of enabling birds to fly, but also act as thermal insulation, promote waterproofing and even serve as a protective layer.
It is the arrangement of impeccably parallel, well defined and symmetrically perfect stripes that, together with the different color and unique filament patterns, reveals an organic design and is so pleasing when appreciated through this macro perspective.
