I say to you
Whoever so chances upon this
Gentle gentle
Do not worry
All you have done is enough
You have maintained breath in your lungs
And that is enough
Do not worry
Stay gentle
For you have taken the actions needed for your peace
Do not stop taking those actions
God will look upon you
And he will not judge
Do not fear those who you leave or have left
God will take care of them
Even when you cannot
I urge you to claim peace
You have journeyed far
You have made it here
No it has not always been gentle
Sometimes you fear the hurt you feel or hurt you cause
That is understandable
But I plead
Do not despair
For your hurt and gentle soul
Is under watch of God
It is sometimes unimaginable to yourself the actions you take
But do not fear
God has His hand upon you
All you must do is ask and He will direct the ground on which you tread
Find comfort in the knowledge that all is safe in His hands
You can walk on the same ground as Him
I beg you with sincerity to forgive yourself
For he has already
Do not fear the path on which you go
Even if it is unclear
It is only unclear to your eyes
God has finished the story
And found it worthy
Trust your kindness
It still remains within
Even when your anger covers your limbs
When sobs wreak across your handcrafted body
Let Him become your weeping in the dark
Your anger is His, along with the multitude of tears you have shed
This is how you become more His
You are already His
But sometimes that is forgotten
Gentle steps
Gently tread upon your way
Your feet are calloused and worn
Still the dewdrops upon the grass give reminder of His love anew
For you will fail
And you will fall
But now you have seen life
Now you know life by name
And it is His
In your utmost pain
You now discover joy
For it was in you the entire time
God was and always will be all of you
All you need
So give to Him all that causes dewdrops to wet your cheeks
Or tightening in your chest
He has felt it all
It His own
He will provide relief
You have no need to hold on
For He knows the plans He has for you
Remain gentle
His hands will gather the dewdrops upon your cheeks and hold them
You have no need to hold them for yourself
Let him take them
His caress is a soft wind passing through your hair
Leaving with you the scent of warm air
His outstretched hand beckons you to rest upon the morning grass
Only but lay there a moment
You will find
He is the ground underneath
The beating of your chest is His very own heart
Allow Him to brush the dewdrops away
All He asks is that you remain with Him
Gently
gentle dewdrops.
