Artist's Statement
The urban world has forced us to enclose ourselves to the core. Hence, I have used x-rays and stuck them on wooden boxes to represent these restrictions. The use of halogen bulbs brings the chiaroscuro effect heightening and dramatizing the impact. The parts of the human body are used as a metaphor for the society where the body/society becomes handicapped hindering one’s out of the box thinking. This artwork makes the viewers introspective as it is relatable to modern man.
