COVID19, the pandemic of the decade when hit us - it brought the world to standstill and countries, cities going into lockdown, restricting the movement of citizens.

Food & Beverage was one of the most hard hit industry during the pandemic, with everyone having to shut down their business and to innovate themselves to just delivery service but with very limited resources and huge restrictions.

One of the crucial factor for anyone who is in this industry, which is part of the hospitality industry is about customer relations and customer services. It was about how relationships are maintained and ensured, that they are part of them. It was during this tiring times, we decided to come up with a campaign for our client “Coffee Lab Maldives” - a local coffee roaster, who managed a local cafe chain called Family Room Cafe and sold coffee equipments and roasted beans.

The foundation of Family Room Cafe’ is built around “Relationships” and this was the basis for the campaign we developed for Coffee Lab Maldives - ensuring there was regular interaction and engagement between them and also with others.

Family Room partnered with SparkHub to organized virtual session every Wednesdays called “Virtual Coffee”, with their customers and the participants of this zoom meeting had to bring their own caffeine (tea or coffee) and take part in an informal fireside chat with the founder of Coffee Lab Maldives. For some session, they also hosted others - who brought topical conversations around staying healthy and about other such subjects.
