Godrej- Wayfinding Signages
Work for Lokus design
Task: To create a wayfinding signage system for Godrej’s residential project called “Infinity” in Keshav Nagar, Pune. Located on the banks of Mula-Mutha river, this project is spread over 43 acres and 70% covered with green spaces.
Solution: The project was completed in several stages.
Stage 1 - We identified the spots where the signages were required, and how signages could be used. Factors like navigation, vehicular movement, and pedestrian area were thoroughly researched in order to find the optimal spots to place the signages. These were then marked on the site plan, with the consult of the client.
Stage 2 - The second stage was to design a signage system. The reeds around the Mula-Mutha river were part of the landscaping design of Godrej Infinity project. We used the same as design inspiration for the signages as per client request. Signage system with an environment neutral color palette was created with blue for Indoor & Parking signages, and pink for Outdoor signages (inspired from the Godrej color palette).
Stage 3 - Along with our team of architects, structures were built in accordance with the design. In the course of time, a design system with 12 structures was formed for informative and directional purposes. With regular coordination with the client and project vendors, we were able to create an easy, hassle-free and efficient wayfinding experience around the project.
