This body of work is comprised of portraits of the houses I grew up in. As a family we were constantly moving from house to house, although we never managed to actually leave the basic area of Northern Virginia. The line between a house and a home becomes blurred – we live in these spaces with our relatives and our things, one day unavoidably packing up all our belongings and moving on. It’s as if we were never there. Another family, that we have no connection with other than the same four walls, takes our place.
